In the 6th of November 2022 edition, we commented various EU calls published during the current week. Four big calls have been issued under the European Innovation Fund managed by the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA). The Innovation Fund is one of the world’s largest funding programmes for the demonstration of innovative low-carbon technologies. It provides grants for projects aiming at commercial deployment of innovative low-carbon technologies, with the objective of bringing to the market industrial solutions to decarbonise Europe and support its transition to climate neutrality. With the 4 recently funding calls, the Innovation Fund will support large-scale projects for low-carbon technologies in many fields such as clean-tech manufacturing, innovative elecrtification, etc. Another call is issued by the DigiPrime platform (funded by the Horizon 2020 Programme) for funding SME pilot projects focusing on components and materials for novel and different application contexts.
